A Big Mix up

My secretary Heather has been with me for almost 10 years now. She makes good money and is well worth every penny of it, but every once in a while she makes a huge mistake. And not just any mistake, but one that usually costs me a great deal of money to fix. Last month I had her start researching new Staffing software for the office. I told her to do this in her spare time, so when she finally handed me her report I knew that she had put in at least a few hours on. But the only problem was she ended up recommending a particular program that was easily the most expensive in the world.

I didn’t really think much of her recommendation until I got the bill for it. I thought that having her pick out the recruiting software was going to be something relatively easy, but unfortunately it ended up being a big fiasco. When the stuff arrived it was clear to anyone that this was a decades-old product that hadn’t seen the light of day since that time. So then I figured that we were just going to return it and that would be the end of it, but all the phone numbers and all the e-mail addresses that she had for this particular company ended up going nowhere.
